John Edward Best, Jr., age 95, of Erie, and formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025. Born in Pittsburgh on September 9, 1929, he was a son of the late John Edward and Catherine (Carney) Best.  John was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked as a City of Pittsburgh  Firefighter.
